Press Statement on Solar Farms from Stowe by Chartley Parish Coun cil

Solar Farms SOS at Stowe by Chartley

Press Statement

As yet no official press statement or media package has been released relating to the situation, which exists within the parish of  Stowe by Chartley, in Staffordshire and in particular the very small hamlet of Drointon regarding  Solar Farms.

An application for a 155-acre solar farm has already been granted planning permission in Drointon. If a second and much larger 210-acre proposed solar farm development, (which is immediately adjacent to the first application) is granted, this will represent over 80% of the hamlet of Drointon, being covered in solar panels.

This will result in cumulative impact, that would be highly detrimental to the amenities of Drointon and the adjacent communities for the next 40 years plus.

There are also several other issues which have now been highlighted, relating to both these planning applications, which includes problems relating to both planning applications.
